Knysna Woodcutters trail forest walk
This incredible woodcutters trail forest walk takes us to the heart of this indigenous forest, past Outeniqua Yellowwood trees that have been growing there for centuries, tree ferns that are over 2 meters tall, quiet streams and indigenous fungus deep inside the GOUDVELD section of the Knysna forest.
We follow woodcutters trail forest walk paths used by the original woodcutters when they harvested various timber types for the factories and workshops in old Knysna Town. Along the trail, you will learn about the ways of the woodcutters, the plants and animals that may be found in the area.
You will be able to create images of magical indigenous forest vista, close up shots of the fungus, forest mushrooms, ferns and the quiet slow flowing natural river and its pools.
